Ready to dive into the world of Dune Awakening but frustrated by the wait? Good news! You’ll soon have the chance to get your hands on the game during a free open beta weekend happening from May 9 to May 12.
To participate, you can either wishlist the game before May 9 for a shot at a spot or snag one of the many beta codes the team will be distributing during the event. So, it’s open, yet a bit exclusive—a semi-open invitation if you will.
Interestingly, this beta lands just before the initially planned release date of May 15, which Funcom postponed. They wanted a little extra time to fine-tune everything for the big launch.
In this beta, players can explore the first two regions, offering around 20 hours of gameplay. You’ll get to check out some Research Facilities, experiment with early class abilities, and engage in a bit of PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a great sneak peek into what the full game offers. If you’re curious about our take, we’ve just released a preview diving into this very slice of the game.
