I’m not really sure how to say this, but looks like we’ll have to keep dreaming about using the Konami code for costume unlocks. Guess it’s not happening until 1.3.0, if ever. Kind of a bummer, right?
There’s this update—yeah, for Mario Kart World. Someone at Nintendo decided, “Hey, let’s fix some stuff,” and boom, there’s a new version. Typical Nintendo magic, you know? Anyway—wait, what was I saying? Oh right, the patch notes! If you’re into reading those (can’t blame you if you aren’t), they’ve thrown in a bunch of, erm… let’s say, lesser-known course tweaks. Plus, now you can spot all those switches and Peach medals in free roam mode. Might make things a bit easier if you ask me. Or maybe not. Depends on your style.
Oh, and if you like watching others instead of playing (no judgment!), now you can pick a character to spectate in online modes. Not sure if that’s exciting news or just… news.
And let’s not forget about laps. They’ve upped the chances of those in “Vs Race” and wireless races. So, if you’re a lap lover—yeah, that’s a thing now, I guess—you’re in luck.
Mario Kart, keeping us on our toes with each update. Or not. Who knows.
