Oh man, XR Games just dropped some big news! So, they yanked BEATABLE out of early access on Quest, and wow, it’s got all sorts of shiny new features. Imagine thwacking at your desk to the rhythm—no controllers needed. Seriously, just your Quest 2 and your table. Genius, right?
Speaking of new stuff, there’s a bunch. They put out this first major update after that five-song release in April. I remember checking that out, and thinking, “Am I terrible at rhythm or is this game just tough?” Hmm, maybe both. Who knows.
And can we talk about the update? Custom song editor—yes, please! Now you can create and even battle it out on your own tracks. Oh, and there’s 24 songs now. I tried counting them but got distracted somewhere around the anime anthem by Kudo Haruka. It got stuck in my head, not gonna lie. Mikee Goodman’s track is a banger too.
When I messed around with it back in April, precision was a total headache. Seriously, trying to hit those notes felt like trying to eat soup with a fork. But guess what, they souped up the gesture detection now, so you’ll stay in rhythm—or so they claim. Plus, it’s prettier. Who doesn’t like pretty games?
So, if you’re itching to smack your desk to some beats, BEATABLE’s on the Horizon Store for a cool $10. Not bad, right? If only my rhythm wasn’t as questionable as my cooking skills.
