Okay, so here we are. A little update on this game, Fate/EXTRA. Or maybe it’s EXTRA Fate? I get mixed up. Anyway, the remake — a new-ish version of this thing — has been pushed back. Like it was set for 2025, but now we’re talking spring 2006. Yeah, time travel, I guess. Developers, Type-Moon Studio BB (what a cool name, right?), swear it’s all for the game’s greatness. Fingers crossed.
So, get this: The original game introduced some real big shots in the Fate universe. We’re talking Nero from ancient Rome and this Fox maiden, Tamano-No-Mae, out of Japanese myths. Totally a power duo. Respect is due to these characters, no doubt, so maybe the delay’s for the best?
Oh, side note—Switch and PS5 special editions are hitting Japan only. Seriously, Japan gets all the cool stuff, right? If you’re into collecting, might be worth checking that out on the official website. I would, but alas, I am merely an observer.
Right, Fate/EXTRA Record, or whatever it’s called when you say it fast, is cooking up for PlayStation 4, 5, Nintendo Switch 1 (what is that even?) and PCs via Steam. Secretly betting Studio BB might sneak in a Switch 2 version. I mean, why not? But hey, don’t quote me; it’s just a hunch.
And what’s the vibe? Annoyed because of the wait? Content about more time to mull over which Servant you’d choose? Or maybe you’re just chilling on this whole thing? Spill your thoughts down below! Or not. You do you.
