Alright, here goes:
—
You know, Big Pikachu really had a lot to unpack this time. I’m not even sure where to start, but let’s give it a go.
So, there’s this new thing called Z-A… wait, maybe it was A-Z? — Whatever. And Pokémon Go had some big news too. All this was part of the Pokémon Presents thing. Honestly, feels like a new world every time they drop these news bombs.
Oh, and get this – a new game called “Pokémon Friends” just kinda snuck onto the iOS App Store. Classic oops moment, I guess. Before the official announcement, mind you. And surprise – you can play it on the Switch and Android too. Basically, you solve puzzles to craft Pokémon plushies. Sounds kinda fun, right? The catch? It’s wrapped in microtransactions for extra puzzles. Typical. But hey, you can grab it now for nine bucks on the eShop.
Switching gears, the 2025 World Championships are set for August 15 – 17. “Championship Sunday” will take place in Anaheim’s Honda Center. Used to be Arrowhead Pond, where the Ducks skate around. Go figure, right?
Oh, and Netflix is rolling out the second season of Pokémon Concierge on September 4. Aardman’s working on another series, “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu.” That’ll be out in 2027. Wonder what shenanigans they’ll get into this time.
Then we’ve got PokePark Kanto opening up in Tokyo in early 2026. Maybe they’re aiming for the 30th anniversary bash. Meanwhile, Pokémon Masters EX is adding Carmine from the new Scarlet and Violet DLC on July 30. They sure keep us busy, huh?
Don’t forget about Pokémon Cafe Remix’s ocean-themed bash! It’s bringing in some fancy-dressed Lapras and Totodile. Sounds beachy, doesn’t it?
And oh man, Latias is popping into Pokémon Unite on August 8. Also, “Electrode Volleyball” is a thing now? Random, but why not.
There were some new cards for the Mega Evolution set, but good luck finding them. Already sold out. Surprise, surprise.
Over in Scarlet and Violet, a craziness is about to kick off with those legendary “Treasures of Ruin.” We need to beat them a million times. Yeah, a million. All to unlock shiny versions for everyone. Plus, there’ll be some themed Mass Outbreaks happening.
And finally, Pokémon Champions is gonna let us rent Pokémon? Also, we’ll get to fiddle with effort values and natures directly in the 2026 release. It’s like they’re really spoiling us.
So, there you go. A rollercoaster of Pokémon updates. It’s wild, but we love it, right?
