The only thing on my mind about Switch 2 this week? Drag x Drive trial. Oh, I just spoiled it. My bad.
A week that’s both “not too busy” and “too chaotic for early August” — go figure. Kicking off with Gradius Origins, which was hyped up back in March for the Switch 1 Direct. Those lasers? Seriously essential to defeat the NES Pro Wrestling boss. Now, if that’s not your style and you need some zombie chaos, check out the remake of The House of the Dead 2. Although, warning: it’s by Forever Entertainment, so brace yourself. Or switch gears entirely with some anime vibes in the new Demon Slayer or Fate/Hollow Ataraxia release.
So, the odd stuff? Why does The Edge of Allegoria look like HD Pokémon RBY but somehow dodges the biggest copyright issue? Really, no clue. Oh, and Team17’s Ritual of Raven is also floating around.
And wow, what did we even miss last week? A Partner Showcase with Chilling By The Fire. Plus, the “Directs Without Saga Reveal” counter’s back to zero—thanks, Square Enix. Oh, and if you’re nostalgic, some old 3DS Harvest Moons are Switch-bound. Taito’s “Field Day” showing up too, apparently.
Oh, and speaking of the EggConsole game — if you’re worried it will all be in Japanese, chill. Action RPG vibes more than complex story — though, steer clear if it gets chatty.
