Crimson Desert, oh man, it’s like that thing you keep thinking is just around the corner, only to find out, surprise! It’s not. Remember back in 2019? Yeah, when they first teased us with this medieval open-world RPG. Fast forward to now, and it’s like chasing a mirage—always just out of reach. Now, they’re talking 2026. Yep, another pushback. Fans have been on this rollercoaster for ages now.
Originally, Pearl Abyss wanted Crimson Desert to be some kind of prequel to Black Desert Online. But, whoops, that idea flew the coop. Now it’s evolved into this single-player RPG mishmash. Think Dragon’s Dogma meets Tears of the Kingdom—kind of, but not really? Anyway, changes kept rolling, and so did the delays. Seriously, it’s like a tradition by now.
Oh, and about that earnings call—wait, are you still awake? They dropped the bomb that the game is now bumped to early 2026. That’s just peachy, right? Last word was it’d be out late 2025. It’s a small shift but, let’s be real, still a bummer. They’re saying it’s about voice-overs and stuff taking longer than expected. Classic.
So, they didn’t spill exact dates. Typical. They’re playing coy, saying there’s a date pinned down but staying hush-hush for now. Smells like deja vu since they quashed a November 2, 2025 rumor before. Makes November feel like ancient history already.
And yet, there’s a silver lining—sort of. A demo’s coming to Gamescom 2025, which means a lucky few might get a sneak peek. From what I gather (or dreamt during a nap), the game’s pretty much there, just some sprucing up left to do. Maybe. So yeah, Crimson Desert’s on its way, kinda crawling but getting there.
