Sure, here it goes:
So, like, is the PlayStation Store ever not running some kind of sale? Honestly, I have no clue. Probably not. And hey, I’m not complaining. I mean, who doesn’t love a good bargain on video games? Especially if it’s, you know, an action RPG remaster originally on the PSP. That stuff hits different.
Okay, hear me out. “Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion” — mouthful, huh? — is knocked down by 60% right now on the PS Store. That’s a solid drop to $19.99 from, what, $49.99? Which is not like chump change at all. But if you’re like me, kinda broke but longing for some nostalgia, jump on this. You’ve got until August 14, the wee hours, 2:59 a.m. ET, to be precise. Why so exact? No clue, marketing tactics, maybe.
And let’s talk about Zack Fair. Ever heard of him? Yeah, he’s this young warrior dude, pretty much idolized by everyone and their grandma. Even the almighty Cloud. Zack’s story is like — how do I even say it? — a saga, no, a “legacy.” They’ve HD’d everything, like really went to town with 3D models and all. Oh, and there’s also a new soundtrack, revamped by the original guy, Takeharu Ishimoto. I mean, music can make or break a game, right? At least, that’s how it feels to me.
So back in 2022, this game drops, and critics seem to have had a field day. Over 81 reviews on Metacritic, averaging a 78. Go figure. And our little review club here gave it a 9 outta 10. Not bad, right? It’s like, Square Enix finally got their remaster act together. I guess they’ve set the bar now. At least I hope.
Anyway, I got carried away. So yeah, bargains galore on the PS Store. Enjoy ‘em. Or wait, what was I saying? Details, details. Grab the games while you can, I guess.
