Ryu Hayabusa, the iconic face of the Ninja Gaiden saga, is set to return. However, there’s a twist. The story will spotlight a new hero, Yakumo. According to PlatinumGames’ producer and director, Yuji Nakao, the fresh protagonist aims to make the game more approachable for newcomers unfamiliar with the franchise’s past. While serving as a direct follow-up to Ninja Gaiden 3 from 2013, Ryu promises to play a key role in the storyline. Players can expect to control him at some point, though it might not be right as the game kicks off.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is expected to bring innovative mechanics to the table, introducing snappy navigation options via wires and rails. As fans of the series anticipate, combat will remain a whirlwind of action akin to previous titles.
