After a whirlwind week of gaming madness, it’s time to return to our standard routine on the original Switch.
In case you missed it last week, Namco’s Assault Plus was added to the Archives.
Looking back, last week could easily be described with the phrase, “OK, so THAT happened.” With the splashy reveal of the Switch 2 and the chaos that ensued, courtesy of 20500, enduring another week of eShop clutter seems almost quaint. But don’t worry, there are some gems coming our way like Star Overdrive—a hovercraft-themed game that got a brief mention in a Direct just a week and a half ago, although it feels much longer. Also due for release is Battlefield Waltz (from Idea Factory/Otomate, localized by IFI), but I’ll be waiting for news on any day one patches before diving in.
Other notable mentions for this week include “Promise Mascot Agency,” yet another Snow Bros. offering, and the latest in EggConsole games—a straightforward maze game from 1983, so Pyramid Warp is still up for grabs, at least for those outside Japan.
