Following the launch of Mario Kart World, there’s this new app that spices up the Free Roam experience a bit. Now, you know, as the latest big thing in the racing scene, Mario Kart World has shaken things up quite a bit.
One of the juiciest changes? It’s this gigantic open world. So, while other modes like Grand Prix and Knockout Tour have you zipping through different tracks, Free Roam lets you, well, roam! You’ve got the whole place to yourself to poke around for those Peach Medallions and Question Mark Panels. And yeah, those cheeky P Switches with missions are scattered all over. But, here’s a thing – it can get a bit meh without some way to track what you’ve nailed and what’s left.
Enter the MK World Travel Guide app. Apparently, some folks over at GVG caught wind of this handy iOS app. Jeffrey Kuiken cooked it up, and it’s got this interactive map showing all the goodies like P Switches, Medallions, and even courses. Write notes, drop pins – sounds neat, right? Oh, and it’s ad-free (thank goodness) with a one-time fee of $1.99 to unlock everything. Android folks: sorry, you’re out of luck for now.
So, what’s the deal with the app? It helps track your progress. Like, finally. You can mark off those P Switches and Medallions as you conquer them. Plus, there’s a no-spoiler mode where the locations stay hidden on the map until you say otherwise. Also, if you’re not into clutter, it’ll just show the P Switches you’ve missed. That’s a win.
Now, about having to use another device alongside your game. Sure, it’s a bit of a hassle. I mean, who wants another screen, right? But for those who love to dig deep into Free Roam, this app feels like a bit of a revelation.
