Holy moly, where do I even start with this? So, Monster Hunter Wilds is dropping something huge – Free Title Update 2, coming June 30. I stumbled upon this earlier and thought, why not share the chaos?
Anyway, they put out this trailer, and I gotta say, the hype is real. But you probably already guessed that. So, what’s cooking in this update? Loads of stuff: monsters, tweaks, you name it. First off, that big sea beast, Lagiacrus. Finally here. It’s this crazy Leviathan that makes the ocean boil – like, literally. Electric freak show, if you ask me. And it’s not just a splash in the pond (pun intended); it’s got missions lined up. But hey, don’t dive in unless you’re HR 31 or something. Oh, and you gotta clear some old missions first. No shortcuts, I guess.
And guess what? Fighting this giant’s gonna have you both on land and deep underwater. Swimming with the beast, anyone? Say goodbye to using weapons freely down there. But there are “ways,” apparently. What does that even mean? Just swim fast and hope, maybe.
Moving on – there’s this glowing flyer, Seregios. Sounds cool, right? But watch those scales; they cut like knives and mess you up big time. Health kits? Essential. I mean, shiny monsters throwing sharp stuff at you… who wouldn’t love that challenge? HR 31 is your ticket here too.
Speaking of challenges, they’re cranking it up with 8★ Tempered versions, just when you thought you’ve got the hang of it. Good luck – sincerely!
Oh, and there’s this thing with weapons. Layered Weapons. It’s like fashion meets destruction? You keep the stats but give your weapon a makeover. Every gamer’s dream. And for the collectors or designers out there, you can craft Layered Palico weapons too.
Quick sidetrack – uh, you can switch your handler to Eric post-Lagiacrus mission. Give Alma a break, I guess? Who thinks of these things?
Also, Mina’s joining in, swinging with a Sword & Shield. Could be useful. Or not. Who knows with these updates?
And for the shutterbugs? New photo options rolled out like some artsy makeover. No clue why this got me excited, but there it is.
And festivals! The Festival of Accord: Flamefete. Get your summer groove on from July 23. Armor sets, food, all that jazz. Honestly, the Grand Hub’s going full festive crazy.
Then, Arch-Tempered Uth Duna is bringing the heat – starting July 30. HR 50 is your magic number here. Those materials won’t gather themselves though.
Hold up, there’s a guitar collab. Fender®? Yep, monster-bashing meets rock ‘n’ roll. August 27 is when you can rock out with a Rathalos Telecaster® – no kidding.
Last but not least, if you’re the styling type, there’s more DLC. Dance moves, stickers, the whole shebang. Some free, others not so much. But it’s all about looking good while hunting, right?
