Hey, so here’s the thing. Survios just rolled out this new version of Alien: Rogue Incursion, right? It’s called the ‘Evolved Edition’ for PC and PS5. Dunno why, but they felt the urge to let us play on a flat screen now. The original VR version popped up on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets late last year — and then it hit Quest 3 in early 2025, if you can believe that. Initial reviews? Umm, kinda mixed. People were grumbling about Xenomorphs being way too predictable. But then, patches happened. You know how it goes. Suddenly, these alien encounters got a bit less like a repetitive song on loop.
So, brace yourself. Survios claims they’ve “re-envisioned” the whole thing for us PC and PS5 folks. It’s a stand-alone game on Steam and the PlayStation Store starting September 30th, 2025. Write that down, or don’t — whatever works for you.
You’ve got Zula Hendricks, this former Colonial Marine, right? She’s digging around to reveal Weyland-Yutani’s secret experiments or something at this place called Purdan with her synth buddy, ‘Davis 01’. Picture this: sneaking through the Xenomorph-rampaged Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research center with a gear loadout. Sounds intense, maybe?
Oh, and just like the VR counterpart, this flat release is just ‘Part One’. Apparently, Survios spilled the beans last year that Part Two’s in the pipeline. It’s supposed to bring gnarlier adversaries and up the ante with tougher challenges. Can’t imagine what that means exactly, but hey, surprises are for future-us to find out.
As for Part Two’s launch date? That’s a big “who knows”. Maybe they’ll drop it with a staggered release again between VR and flatscreen, or maybe it all collides into one mega package. Their call, not ours.
This whole VR to flat journey isn’t new for Survios, though. Back in 2021, they did a similar thing with Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions. They flipped Creed: Rise to Glory from fist-pumping VR bouts into this cheeky arcade fighting gig. So, clearly, they’ve got a knack for this conversion magic trick. Makes you wonder what else they’ve got up their sleeves, right?
