Bigscreen just rolled out this snazzy new ‘VRChat Edition’ of their super slim, super light Beyond 2e PC VR headset. Oh, it’s apparently tailored just for the hardcore VRChat crowd. Why? Who knows, but it’s kinda cool.
Right, so these Beyond 2 babies? They started shipping end of last month — the regular ones and this eye-tracking version, Beyond 2e. But now, they’ve got this exclusive, shiny upgrade for September 2025: the VRChat Edition. It’s all almost the same as your regular Beyond 2e specs-wise, eye-tracking sensors, whizz-bang micro-OLED thingies, 116° field of view, and some ultra-slick pancake lenses. All this in a featherlight 107g. (Is that light? Maybe. Probably.)
Anyway, get this: for $1,269 — just fifty bucks over the boring standard Beyond 2e — you score the VRChat Edition flaunting a translucent Atomic Purple shell. Fancy, right? Plus, there’s some hand-crafted art on the packaging. Like, who doesn’t want that?
A heads-up though, you’ll need a PC that’s ready for VR action to run Bigscreen’s headsets, including this new VRChat Edition. And, of course, SteamVR base stations, controllers, optional trackers, yadda yadda. You know the drill.
Also, when you buy it, you get special VRChat digital goodies. Stickers, badges… you name it. Bigscreen teases some cool future extras, hints at “rare giveaway drops” and all.
Shipping kicks off in September, but if you’re already a preorder person, hit up Bigscreen support for an upgrade. Meanwhile, you might wanna check this marathon chat between Bigscreen founder Darshan Shankar and VRChat’s community guru, Tupper. They go on about headset updates and why eye-tracking is the next big thing in VRChat. Spicy stuff, maybe. Depends who you ask.
