Challenges Faced by the Age of Imprisonment

Okay, so here we are, 2025 looming over us like some sci-fi backdrop, and bam! Another Zelda game prepping to drop. Yep, this one’s called Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Why do they come up with these titles? Anyway, it’s supposed to be a prequel to Tears of the Kingdom. Remember that one? And—hold onto your hats—it’s debuting on the Switch 2. Fancy, huh? They’re diving into the early days of this Hyrule we’ve seen in BOTW and TOTK. And supposedly, it’s all about that Imprisoning War that TOTK kinda teased us with. So, yeah, bigger stuff happening.

But here’s the kicker—Nintendo’s being all cagey about details. Seriously, will this thing be canon or what? Considering Age of Calamity kind of went off the rails with its alternate timelines, who knows? And what’s Link’s gig here? Is he even making an appearance back in this version of history? So. Many. Questions. Plus, the character roll call’s still in question. Are the old folks coming back, or are we meeting fresh faces?

Mipha and crew were cool, but these new ones need their own spotlight, not just echoing the past. Just picture them finding their identity in this whole mishmash. Oh, the drama. Maybe TotK’s Sages are unlockable – that could be nifty.
