Hades 2 Introduces Narcissus, and He’s More Alluring Than Expected

Wow, so Hades 2, huh? It’s been, like, a whole year in early access. Crazy. And here’s the thing—while it was playable and had all those goodies we love, the art was kinda… temporary? Like someone said, “Let’s just slap a green-hooded guy there,” and called it a day. Especially Narcissus, right? The dude was basically incognito until Tuesday’s massive Unseen update. And now? Supergiant’s putting their foot down and—bam! Narcissus comes alive. Like, for real.

Gotta say, Supergiant hangs out on the spicy side of Greek myths. Because, come on, these ancient tales, they’re like all about lust and parties. Zeus, don’t even get me started. In the first game, they had all these sultry voices, practically whispering desires into your ears. Mischievous tones and suggestive vibes—totally their jam. I swear, you could almost feel the voices graze your skin. Weirdly intimate, right?

And oh man, the music? It’s like you’re chilling with some epic bard strumming a Turkish lute. Totally transports you. The gods seemed to have this messy history together, like unresolved drama. Sometimes, in between slicing monsters, you’d almost forget you weren’t playing a dating sim. Maybe that’s just me.

Now Hades 2? It’s like game-night with a dose of romance. You can hang out with these characters—yes, including some steamy bathhouse scenes. Dionysus is rocking a thong. Yup, you read that right. It’s no shock they’d glam up Narcissus. But still, they went with this twink look that catches you off guard. Like, what?

Someone on X even joked how if they had a face like Narcissus, they’d be hypnotized by their reflection too. Can’t blame ’em. They revamped a few others too, like Prometheus. He’s not Mr. Clean anymore—more like bleeding and edgy. Fan art’s gonna be wild, can tell already.

Part of me though—nostalgia alert—kinda misses the placeholder art. Oddly mysterious, you know? This beautiful guy we couldn’t even grasp, just imagine. A reflection only he recognizes.
