Bungie has set the stage for some significant transformations in Destiny 2, with the Heresy content serving as the third and final installment of episodes before the much-anticipated release of the Frontiers expansion later this year. This latest phase, Heresy, has been well-received by the Destiny 2 community. Based on Bungie’s recent livestream, an exciting array of updates is on the horizon, including fresh story missions, Guardian Games enhancements with a thrilling boss-rush mode, the introduction of the Court of Blades, a new Dreadnaught activity, and the Rite of the Nine event. All of these updates are building up to a pivotal moment on March 11, which is shaping up to be a major date for Destiny fans.

The success of Heresy Act 1 in engaging players has prompted Bungie to keep up the momentum by launching the Moments of Triumph mini-event, encouraging players to dive into gameplay challenges ahead of the next wave of content. As Act 1 wraps up, players should brace themselves for a variety of new additions coming with Heresy Act 2, set to launch in just a few days.

Considering that Act 3 is set to be even more expansive, Act 2 already packs a punch with new features. The highlights include new story missions focusing on eerie whispers from beyond the veil—possibly tied to Eris Morn—and the Court of Blades activity with roguelike elements akin to The Nether. Looking ahead to Guardian Games in 2025, players can expect the usual class-based rivalry with fresh flair.
