So, here’s what went down today at the Summer Game Fest—or, well, whatever you wanna call it. The thing all the Arc Raiders fans were crossing their fingers for actually happened. I mean, who wouldn’t be hoping, right? After the whole Tech Test saga back in May, nobody wanted to let go of their controllers. I remember thinking, “This game feels ready to roll out,” and I wasn’t alone.
Some folks were pretty much shouting for the official release. But hey, what do you know, they didn’t quite get that, though they did score a release date. So, yay for dates, I guess?
Now, quick sidebar—don’t even get me started on the beta test. People were kinda hoping for another round, or at least something to tide them over. But nope, they gotta wait a bit more. Better luck next time, right? For all the ones who missed the Tech Test, they ended up being spectators, watching vids and reading write-ups while others had fun. I mean, that had to sting a little.
Anyway, here comes the good stuff. Embark spilled the beans: October 30, 2025. Mark it, people! That’s when Arc Raiders hits PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Apparently, we’re talking about a beefed-up version of what we saw before. Though, honestly, it already felt like a full-package deal. Let’s see if they worked any magic between Tech Test 2 and now. That’s assuming they needed to fix much—because the vibe? Totally gave me flashbacks to those good ol’ PUBG days.
Oh, did I mention Embark and Geoff Keighley go way back? Yeah, seems like they’re tight. The whole shebang first kicked off at The Game Awards in 2021—Arc Raiders was a co-op thing back then. Crazy how it morphed into what it is now. And remember when The Finals showed up outta nowhere in December 2023? That was something, right? So, no surprise everyone was on their toes today hoping for some Arc Raiders buzz.
Anyway, whatever comes next, I guess we’re all stuck waiting to see where this goes. Fingers crossed for more surprises!
