Alright, here we go. Picture this:
So, I’ve been rambling on and kinda hyping myself up over this crazy new shooter, EVE Vanguard. You know, the folks behind EVE Online? They’re at it again, trying something wild in the FPS world. They want to sprinkle some magic from Destiny and Helldivers 2 into it. I mean, they’re really aiming to change the game. Make it all deep and stuff. Honestly, I’m sort of intrigued but also like, “Is this for real?”
People are kinda skeptical, which, I get it. Big promises, right? You can check more info if you follow the links I left somewhere up there. I’ll be soaking in all the latest from Eve FanFest 2025, so stay tuned or whatever. But, let’s be honest, chat is cheap. CCP Games, they wanna throw you right into the mix — announced today, the game’s early access is landing soon, at least that’s what they shouted during their big presentation.
Okay, go grab a calendar. EVE Vanguard’s hitting Steam for early access in Summer 2026. But hey, there’s this event they cooked up even sooner on September 16. So, if you’ve been itching to check it out, here’s your shot. I heard you can get more deets on their Discord. Sounds like a party.
Oh, and there was this press release. Real marketing heavy — said the game’s all about player-driven things and shooty fun in some chaotic sandbox. Players making their own victories and whatnot. War stories, scavenging, the whole shebang. Basically, it sounds like, under all that PR glow, it feels solid. Fresh vibes for those tired of the same old shootouts in modern games — or so they say. I wanna dish out more real thoughts, but embargoes, ugh.
Now, you might’ve noticed the timeline’s kinda wobbly. I wrote before that we’d see EVE Vanguard on consoles by 2028. Here’s a refresher:
2024 – Founder’s access
2025 – Early access
2027 – Global launch
2028 – Console rollout
Looks like they pulled the Early Access date forward. No clue if that jumbles the rest. I’m gonna poke CCP Games about it this weekend, see what’s what. Anyway, soon enough you can dive in and compare Vanguard with the likes of Marathon, Arc Raiders, and the rest. Get ready for some actual hands-on mayhem.
