Flatscreen farming game, uh, Everdream Valley? Yeah, it’s about to hit VR on the Quest. Like, next week! Time flies, huh?
So, there’s this crew—Mooneaters, Ovid Works, and Pixel Gaze—kind of mashed it all together to bring Everdream Valley over to the whole Quest 2, Pro, 3, and, uh, 3S universe. You play as this kid, right? Chillin’ at your grandparents’ farm out in the sticks, and suddenly it’s all about the animals there. Cats, chickens, ducks, cows—name it, they’re there. It’s funny how you suddenly find yourself connecting with nature. I guess that happens when you’re out there long enough. Anyway, check out the trailer if you can.
Farm life here is, let’s say, pretty varied. You’re not just stuck with the animals. You’re planting stuff, fishing, whipping up homemade meals. Oh, and building things wherever you feel like. Sounds like a scattered morning to me—but also kinda cool, you know?
This isn’t the first time farming’s gone VR. There have been others, mostly cartoony. I remember Farming Simulator VR tried to get all serious. And then there were those others like Neat Corporation’s Garden of the Sea and Across The Valley. That one had, like, this hand-drawn art style which was sort of neat in its own way.
Anyway, mark it on your calendar or whatever—Everdream Valley VR is hitting the Meta Quest on May 15. Get ready for some digital dirt under your nails.
