Sure thing, here’s my take. Hang tight, it might get a little messy:
So, there’s this game called HOTEL BARCELONA dropping on PS5, and it’s by these two wild creators, SWERY and SUDA51, known for making the kind of games like… not your usual cup of tea. It’s hitting the shelves – or whatever the digital equivalent of shelves is – this September from CULT Games and White Owls. You might wanna see what all the fuss is about.
There’s a video too, but you gotta punch in your birth date to watch it. No idea what that’s about, but rules are rules, I guess.
Anyway, there’s this hotel, out in no-man’s land between Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Looks all high-end, right? But plot twist: it’s a killer trap. Yeah, it’s built for America’s nastiest serial killers. And you’re Justine, some green federal marshal with a bit of a secret — you’ve got Dr. Carnival, a psycho killer, in your noggin. Together, you gotta take out all these killers. Simple, eh? Not really.
Oh, there’s a pic here… just imagine a creepy vibe. Gotta see it to feel it, or maybe not, if you’re not into gore.
Features? It’s got a “2.5D” action thing going on. There’s crazy battles needing you to be all nimble and tactical. Think 1980s horror movie vibes. The more messed up, the merrier.
Plus, dying has perks. Say what? Yeah, die and your past self hangs around as these “Slasher Phantoms” – kinda like ghosty echoes that repeat your last moves. Handy for fighting.
The blood thing is wild too. Fighting equals blood equals power. Fill up this “Skull Gauge” and bang! Carnival Awakening fires off. Bam! Everything’s more messy — in a good way.
Seven areas, each a different horror kind — haunted mansions, twisted labs, spooky places. Each spot’s got its own nasty boss. Strategy, reflexes — or blind luck, I figure — are your friends here.
So, these two legends (I mean, SWERY did Deadly Premonition, and SUDA51 did No More Heroes) joined forces. Madness, right? Their styles mix into this whole surreal thing. Buckle up for a gore fest with a bizarre twist.
There you go, messy and real. Go check it out! Catch you on the flip side.
