Oh man, where to start with this whole Crossings thing? You know Neat Corp, right? They did that Budget Cuts VR game? Well, now they’re throwing us into some wild Norse afterlife adventure. It’s called Crossings, and honestly, it’s got me curious and maybe a little bit anxious.
So, picture this: You’re in some kind of mystical world that’s constantly changing. It’s like, revenge-filled and all epic-like as you hack and spell-cast your way through it. Yeah, they’ve gone full-on with the trolls, draugr, and other creepy Norse creatures. You get to meet other lost souls too, (how exactly do you do that without chatting? No clue!) but it’s supposed to be seamless and… what’s the word… organic, I guess.
Oh, and get this, every time you play, it’s like a fresh new world. Grab some Viking-style gear like axes and magic stuff, like this weapon called the ‘Tooth of Nör’—fancy, huh? You can cut down, dodge, and weave through all sorts of mythical baddies. It’s all about timing and movement. Sounds intense, right?
They’re saying you wake up cold and solo in this eerie place—like stuck between death and memory. It makes me wonder about all the weird stories and creatures lurking around. Trolls and other beasts from old legends are creeping about. You fight them, choose your path, and hope you’ve got the wits to make it through. You can either go it alone or team up with other players who are just trying to survive like you. Every time you dive in, something changes. Sounds deep, doesn’t it?
Oh, a quick note—they haven’t told us when it’s gonna launch. But you can wishlist it if you’re on the Horizon Store or Steam. And here’s a thing—there’s gonna be a demo available during Steam Next Fest between October 14th to 21st. Just single-player, but hey, at least it’s something, right?
Anyway, that’s the gist of it. If you’re into VR adventures and Norse mythology, this might just be your next obsession. Or, maybe not. Who knows until we dive in?
