Hey, so this morning, or maybe afternoon — who keeps track of time — there was this big Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 livestream event. As usual, everyone was chattering about the new characters. Honestly, it’s kinda expected. The game is super-loved, so, duh, new stuff is exciting.
But here’s the real juice: they spilled the beans on this crazy collab with Fate/stay night. You know, that series that’s all swords and magic and stuff. They dropped the news way back in August last year. Man, they’ve been cooking this up for ages! Ten months later, it’s finally almost here. Why do these things always take so long? Anyway — wait, was I talking about the collab or the characters?
Let’s get back on track. New peeps in Version 3.4: we got Saber and Archer showing up. Saber’s got that whole Wind/Destruction vibe going on; she’s even getting her own like, super special banner. And then Archer turns up too — that’s a freebie for anyone who logs in. They’re sticking around longer than usual, which is rad. This whole collab thing is running until the end of Version 3.6, supposedly around November. Feels like forever from now, doesn’t it?
Oh, and don’t forget Phainon! Been hanging out since Version 3.0. Finally, you can play as him. He’s joining his Chrysos Heir pals, ready to fight with a Physical/Destruction angle. It’s all happening in Phase 1, so don’t sleep on it.
Speaking of phases — six rerun banners this time! We’re seeing Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle make a return appearance. Then for Phase 2, we’ll catch Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade. No new faces there, but hey, that list isn’t exactly short. Complaining about it seems a bit much, if you ask me.
And those Stellaron Hunters we love? Yeah, they’re getting some upgrades too — battle mechanics, Eidolon effects, even a fresh look for Firefly. Jingliu’s getting a tweak too. Kinda makes you wonder if she’s gonna switch teams to roll with Elio’s crew, huh?
Mark your calendar (if you’re the organized type) for July 2nd. That’s lift-off date for Honkai: Star Rail 3.4, with more fun starting again on July 23rd. Oh! You wanna see the whole livestream again? Just hit play on the VOD below. Well, somewhere below here, if I remember right.
Oh, by the way, in May, Version 3.3 dropped Hyacine into the game, and The Herta popped back into the scene too. That had its own whirlwind with recasting voice actors — because of some solidarity strike action with SAG-AFTRA. They’ve finally kinda settled, though. Still, not everyone’s back yet. What a soap opera, huh?
